Geo-caching….

Do you do this? If you don’t you’ve got to give it a try. It only takes a GPS and it doesn’t have to be a great one either and some patience and the love of outdoors. Mike and I found 2 out of 4 yesterday. Really one was removed by the DNR so we shouldn’t even count that one. It is so relaxing, so invigorating and so much fun being out with Mike. We are called M&M (Mike and Mom) in the geo-caching website. We leave little M&M characters as prizes along with either hot wheels or tops Mike made in school. It’s hard to explain so I’ll just share some pictures I took and if I think something needs explaining I’ll do that next to the picture. Anyways, gotta try the geo-caching if you haven’t yet. We need to do it more often. So now the pictures…

These are where we found our treasures. The next bunch of pictures is a mountain bike trail we found near the Croft Mine in Crosby. It’s not officially opened yet but we walked it and there has been bikes up there, in fact when we were leaving a couple were out there playing. We were so impressed with this trail. Tomorrow Mike is going to play on the trail and I’m going to walk it with Wilbur. Well here’s a bunch of beautiful pictures and things inviting to mountain bikers.

Before we left we went to an old campground we use to go to. It’s closed off now to make room for this mountain bike trail and though it was sorta sad to see it’s also nice to see them using it for fun instead of just letting it go to seed. This is Yawkey Pit.

So there you have it. I’m going to take the camera again tomorrow while Mike is playing and I’m sure I’ll be sharing more pictures with you. Do you guys know how much fun it is sharing with you all? Well you all blog so you must know but I so appreciate you looking and enjoying and commenting.

Today is Jim’s birthday, he’s 52 years old, been married for over 1/2 his life now. Pretty cool. Love you dear!!

“Their gonna point and laugh at your too!”

That’s what Wilbur said to Bobby. Since the sewing machine is out and I seem to have and an aversion to doing the craft show stuff I made Bobby a collar. I am tired of him losing them. I think this year alone he’s lost 3 plus 2 flea and tick ones. I use to have another cat Smokey and she’d climb the swing set, use the bolts on the top and rip hers off, well I’m pretty sure that’s what Bobby is doing too. So other then a bit of time and left over's here’s what Bobby got.

Okay, Mike is due home any time, then it’s off geo-caching. YEAH!!!

Take care and God Bless!!

“But moooommmmm, I don’t want to wear this”….

“The other dogs are going to point and laugh at me. It touches my wee wee, I don’t like that, moooommmm I HATE IT!!!”

So like a good mama I fixed it, It doesn’t touch the wee wee anymore and I told him we won’t walk near any other dogs until he’s use to it. I got the “Fine, I’ll wear it but only cuz you’re making me!”

It’s getting close to hunting time, in fact small game is already opened and with Brenda and I walking each day it’s time to start wearing the orange. We got this for Wilbur at a garage sale for .25 but it was to long for him so I shortened it.

Now that my machine is out it’s time to do some sewing. YEAH!!! I’m excited. First some lanyards for our craft show, maybe a pouch or two and then I think I’m going to make me a blouse or two. Been awhile since I’ve sewed clothing but with my changing shape I don’t want to spend lots of money on anything until I’m at a place I’m comfortable with and can spend a few dollars.

So that is that. I hope all is well with you all. God Bless!!

For grandma…

My mama loves the smell of burning leaves. Mike knows this so today he took the cart and trailer, filled them with leaves with the “help” of Hannah, Justin and Jon and put them in her driveway, got her a stump to sit on and burned them. The smiles, the love….well see for yourself.

5K in pictures… Aitkin’s Fit City Run/Walk/Stoll

My first ever 5K competitive walk, not my last either. We had a blast, worked hard, played hard and enjoy every single second. Didn’t come in first, didn’t come in last. Did exactly what we wanted to do, complete the race. So without anymore words, our day!!

 100_4089 100_4092

First thing getting there and our numbers. Wilbur couldn’t compete with us in the competitive walk but we could walk in the fitness walk so he went with Kory, one of my Venture Scouts.

Brenda won $10.00 in Aitkin bucks just for being there. Mike and Brenda.

Last but not least, 99 year old Ester, the oldest competitor.

So what do you think? I think it couldn’t of been a better day to get out and be part of something so wonderful and so fulfilling.

Now it’s onward and upwards to the next competition. It will be 3 mile Cross Country Skiing sometime this winter. Mike and I will be doing this one together. You know how much we love Cross Country Skiing. YEAH!!! Something else to train for and keep going. Getting fit and learning all kinds of new things has defiantly been my challenge this year but I’m learning and working at it. To bad I waited until I was almost 50 but better now then later or to late.

Take care and have a blessed Sunday. Jim and I are heading out for the morning, Mike is going pumpkin shooting in the afternoon. The rest of the day will be up in the air but it’s suppose to be beautiful so I’ll take it and enjoy.
