I love these kids. Oh how I do. I love Christmas break. I wish it could last another week. I love it when I get to see them even when not on break. Rachel and Abby had daddy bring them out at least once a week after school. I get to have Anton on Wednesday after school and since I have Hannah and Justin during the day I know that their brother Jon will be here either before school, after school or both. My wee ones!!! I LOVE YOU GUYS!!!

Take care everyone. A new year is on it’s way, are you ready for it. I have some plans I’m going to work on. I have something things I want to change and some I want to just make better. But mostly I want to praise the Lord more, thank him for the life he has given me and enjoy life to it’s fullest.

God Bless you all!!!!

New year ideas…

Along with planning on some changes to my life style I am also looking around my house and thinking a few changes would be nice. I’m going to start going through some things and paring down. I did it a year ago and it really helped lots so am going to do it again with the stuff I was sure I had to keep last year because I might use it. Well if I didn’t it’s gone. But when you get rid of stuff sometimes it’s nice to get a new thing too. I was visiting the CSN stores and found some really cool pictures frames. I was looking under Modern Decor. With my daycare kids I am always putting up new pictures of them and I thought this was really cool and would really look great.

I live in a fairly small house and this would take up so little space compared to lots of pictures and frames. What do you think? If you have time check out the CSN Stores and just maybe you’ll find something you’d like too.

It has been a super busy week here with school being out. We’ve been playing outside as much as possible and today even more so since it was 25* and sunny. The kids spent most of the time on the back hill sledding. I think tomorrow we’ll go and visit with great grandma and also see Mark and all his goats. I’ll bring the camera so you can see all the new babies that Mark has. I so love goats. Those little ones and even the bigger ones are so loveable and just want to be loved, petted, hugged and played with.

I hope that life is treating you all grandly. Take care and God Bless!!!

Merry Christmas…

We had our daycare Christmas party yesterday. I have got to say it was one of the best ones we’ve ever had.

For 11 years Mike has been part of our Christmases too. He took the day off to spend it with these wee ones. They love him like a big brother and even being an only child he never was alone.

The kids did three short skits for me and I promised that I’d post them so their grandparents and other families could see them so enjoy.

And…

And…

I hope that you all have the most awesome and blessed Christmas. I know that my Christmas eve was the best ever. Spent the afternoon shopping with Jim and enjoying each other and just being. Spent time with grandma, she is so sad without grandpa. She puts on the happy face with most but with me can just be and I just can hug and cry with her. It’s hard being without my grandpa too but I can’t imagine after being together for over 70 years to be alone now. Can you imagine sharing a bed, having someone warm to cuddle up to and now no one. Enjoy your families, I know I am.

Take care everyone, have an awesome, safe and blessed Christmas.

My mama…and this week…

 December 165

December 167

My mama got me this for Christmas. My older mixer died and I use one on a daily basis so she went and got me the bestest Christmas present. Now the story doesn’t end there because …. well if you’re patient good things come to them that wait.

This mixer was usually $259.99, on sale for $199.99 with a $20.00 mail in rebate. So even though that’s quite a bit of money mama felt I needed something that will stand up to everything I do. We went and looked. According to the store ad this mixer wasn’t on sale any more, well it was but for $233.99, not $199.99. Anyways, the little sales clerk didn’t like the way the ad read, neither did the manager so they gave it to us for the ad price of $179.00. We still got the $20.00 rebate too. Then I had a 30% off coupon which was another $50.00 off and then we earned $20.00 in Kohl’s cash. So in the end after the rebate comes back the mixer cost $90.00. A savings of $140.00. YEAH!!!!

I told mama I’d fix her the first thing with the mixer so I did, I made her baking powder biscuits. Her favorite thing. Then I took them over to her along with chicken, gravy, tators, squash and apple cider. I wanted them to know just how much I appreciated and loved and … well everything…this mixer. I can now knead bread dough. It’s so cool.

In other news….

I took mama, daddy, Scott and Mike to the Sertoma Winter Wonderland in Brainerd this week. You know how hard it is to get good Christmas light pictures but here are a few that came out pretty good, enough to show you just how pretty it is. If you click on the Sertoma Winter Wonderland link you can see it much better with a professional look.

In more news….

The kids have been working on some Christmas balls for their mama. Did you know glitter can be everywhere even when you try to just keep it on the table. Hannah had more on her then her ornament and I’m pretty sure my floor will be glittery for some time to come but it didn’t matter, she was having a blast. And then Justin came and made a fabric ball. Check these out…

And the last thing for this week. Last night I did some beading. I had to make a pair of earrings for Jon to give his teacher. So while I was at it I also made two other pairs, a twisted bracelet and my great friend in New York’s charm bracelet. I’ve already wrapped Jon’s teachers gift so can’t show you them but here’s my project for last night.

So that is this week in pictures. I hope that your week was grand. TGIF. I’m off this weekend and am really in need of that. I think a nice relaxing morning, a nap in the afternoon, a little family swimming and then a movie. That could well be the best Saturday yet. Take care my friends and have a blessed weekend.

See who came to visit….

He was no more then 10 feet from my front door. I love this time of year, now that I’m use to the cold that is. The animals come so close to the house to get the treats we put out. On the north side I have squirrels. I haven’t had this many in years but I have a different cat that doesn’t seem to think they are as tasty as Furgus use too. I put out all left over's that I don’t give the chickens. They love the left over bread the best and the sweet stuff makes them happy too. On the south side we use sunflowers, peanut butter, raisins and other nuts. We also have a downy that bangs the house in the cracks for frozen bugs and spiders. The bunnies get treats under the big pine trees. Carrots, lettuce and salad scraps.

Check these guys out.

K-5 concert…and an introduction…

Friday I took my two wee ones to see their brother and friends sing in their school Christmas program. It started at 1:30 so I tried to get there about 1:00 so we could at least get a seat in the middle. Haaa, that’s funny. When I got there it was packed. From the front of the gym to 3/4 of the way back. No chairs available so we stood in the back. All I saw was butts and backs. See….

December 075

Now I just hoisted Justin and Hannah onto my shoulders and they were able to see the program and also for Jon to see them.

It didn’t matter because I found an old co-worker that took my camera and took the most awesome pictures of my little ones. You see, all my little ones are in 1st grade except Abby’s in 3rd. Jon and Anton are my normal every day little ones that come and then there’s Ray, Tyler and Aiden that come once in awhile. It was so great to get pictures so here they are.

Then Abby’s class… Abby is just over the left shoulder of the choir director.

December 100 December 098

I figured something out, I have been going to these Christmas programs since Mike was in kindergarten. That’s 13 years. Pretty darn cool thing.

Now I have an introduction for you…..

Remember this….My baby goats? Well #1 went to heaven with #2 but #3 is alive and well. We waited to be sure my wee ones didn’t fall in love with a kid until she lived awhile. Well she’s now almost a month old so we named her.

Everyone meet Gracie.

December 071 December 064

December 067 December 069

So now it’s a new week. I have a couple crafts for my wee ones to work on. And Justin needs to work on the letters E and F and grouping items into groups of 5. It’ll be a busy week. It’s suppose to be cold until Wednesday, –20-30 wind-chills so we’ll be only heading out for very short periods of time so plenty of learning and play time coming up.

Take care my friends and have a blessed night sleep and a great day tomorrow.
